The Vale of Glamorgan
The Vale of Glamorgan used to be called South Glamorgan or Morgannwg De, in Welsh. Quality of life is second to
none in the Vale, complemented by its proximity to Cardiff - the capital of Wales.
Many people imagine the Vale to consist of rolling countryside, quiet villages and the country towns of
Cowbridge and Llantwit Major. This tranquil image is further enhanced by the Heritage Coast, Penarth's Victorian
pier and Barry Island.
The Vale has more than 160 hectares of high-quality greenfield available for development, ranging from coastal
and waterfront locations to rural landscapes.
